A PRAYER FOR YOU

2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. KJV

In this year 2013,I pray that God will give to you

His grace for your race
His speed for your pace
His glory for your story
His honour for your dishonour
His fame for your shame
His joy for your pains
His strength for your weakness
His mysterious working for your misery.

BEFORE THE YEAR 2013 COMES

Few people have started preparation for the year 2013 on many fronts. Many are waiting for a specially organised programmes by the church such as the New Year Revival time to fast and pray, and so many more are leaving everything to chance, after all, they say what will be will be. It is so pathetic that the evil ones are full of devices, planning and scheming, no wonder; they are wise in their generation. Some others are carried away with the euphoria associated with the coming of the New Year, whatever your situation, I challenge you to rise and prepare now under God. Proper planning they say prevents poor performance.

I do believe in sober reflections, we need to reflect on how we have fared this year and chart a new course under God for the coming year. Therefore, the first preparation is to Remember. To remember is to recall something forgotten: to recall something to mind or become aware of something that has been forgotten. It was Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Baptist Church who said God doesn’t trust us with our memory. God, in calling us to remember obviously is not calling us to remember the former things as to dwell on them because He will certainly do something new. (Isa. 43: 18-19). If you have had a bad experience, then you need to forget them because our God will do something new. He is calling you to remember
(1.)                   All the way He has led you (Deut. 8: 2a) What about those guidance the Lord offered you? Are you thankful for them? What about those dangerous ways He has kept you away from? What about those disasters you heard of in distant and nearby places but He has kept you from them? What about those deals the Lord just arranged for you? Think about the way He has led you…  There is no better way to start planning than the way of thanksgiving for what we have received and we may never remember to be thankful until we make a deliberate effort to plan.
(2.)                   The days of old, consider the years of many generations… (Deut. 32:7) (those years when you never thought you could be who you are, remember where you were coming from even this year)
(3.)                   His works - (1 Chron. 16:12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth) God’s marvellous work and wonder is our mainstay of continued existence, were it not for His judgment, the evil men would have had their way all over the places. Remember His blessings on you.
(4.)                   We are to remember His love (Song of Solomon 1: 4c.)
(5.)                   To come to the throne of grace to obtain MERCY and find GRACE to help in time of need (Heb. 4:16) May I remind you that there will be a time of need in this coming year.
(6.)                   Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways (Prov. 3: 6)
(7.)                   Ask for the Strength like that of Elijah that made him go through that period. You need strength for the coming year.
(8.)                   Ask Him for His protection, Psalm 23, 91 etc. He knows He will do that but you ought to tell Him you desire it.
(9.)                   Ask Him to keep you as the apple of His eyes. (Psalm 17:8)
(10.)  Ask Him to perfect all that concerns you in this coming year. (Psalm 138:10)
(11.) Redeem the year with the Blood of Jesus, no evil thing will locate you, your family or anyone connected to you. (Eph 5:16-Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.)
(12.) To promote you. (Promotion comes from Him alone, Psalm 75:6)
(13.) Ask Him to do something new for you (Isa. 43:18-19).
(14.) Ask the Lord for open door and to take care of the adversaries of the open door (Rev. 3:8, 1 Cor. 16:9)
(15.) Ask the Lord to use you for His glory in the coming year.
(16.) Plead for open heaven.
(17.) Intercede for your loved ones.
(18.) Intercede for your country and rulers
(19.) Pray for good health in the coming year.
(20.) That particular thing that you desire from Him.

The above list is so small but I believe it will spur someone to action, if that person is you, then I thank God for using me to put this together. Thank you for visiting my blog. God bless you.
