LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO
Psalm 107: 2

What do you think about TESTIMONY in the Church? Quite a few do testify and I must confess that I belong to the guilty ones. Sometimes this year, I lost some money to pick pocketer, I ruminated over this and prayed and asked God why He had allowed that to happened and the response I got was that I had remained ungrateful. Ungrateful? Lord, please forgive me. I remembered specifically when I promised that I would testify to His deliverance and did not. God is so good. He completely indemnified me through a compassionate father and boss for that loss. Since He does not want His people to go back to their folly, I stood before God’s people and testified.

How many times have we taken the Lord and His mercies for granted? On Monday 7th May 2012, I could see a commercial bus run over a commuter who stood in the Bus stop, what happened was that, the Bus was pursued by the Police for violating the traffic rule and in order to escape the arrest drove against the traffic and when the Police saw that the vehicle had run over someone, they left pursuing him. Just last year, someone I knew died while standing in Bus Stop, he was knocked down by a hit and run driver. God’s mercy kept you and I. How grateful we should be.

The Hebrew word used for the redeemed is Ga'al, Ga’al is a transliterated word meaning  1)to redeem, to act as kinsman-redeemer, to avenge, to revenge, to ransom, to do the part of a kinsman, ,2) to redeem (by payment) 3) to redeem (with God as the subject) a)individuals from death b) Israel from Egyptian bondage c)Israel from exile b)(Niphal) 1)   to redeem oneself 2) to be redeemed. (from The Online Bible Thayer's Greek Lexicon and Brown Driver & Briggs Hebrew Lexicon, Copyright © 1993, Woodside Bible Fellowship, Ontario, Canada. We had nothing we could pay as our ransom but He provided the blood of the Lamb. We were strangers and aliens to the commonwealth of Israel but He brought us near through the everlasting blood of the covenant. We were adopted and brought into the family of God. He put His Spirit in us and we cry Abba Father. What a privilege! Now the access gate to the Father has been opened wide we could approach Him, pour our hearts to Him, knowing well that He listens, cares and ready to help us. He has the power to fight on our behalf, there is no foe that that He cannot defeat, no opposition He cannot crush, no problem He cannot solve. And yet in wisdom, He chooses the best for us even when because of our limitations we ask amiss. Oh God, how wonderful are Your thoughts towards us! If you can remember His mercies give Him thanks for He is good to you. Glory be to You Precious Redeemer.  Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so!
