HOLD ON
(written in1994 by IMAOBONG

Be
still; hold on
The
stream will flow always
The
pebble will sink but the waves
Will
reach shore,
Return
unseen to their centre.
Be
like the water-lily
Grow
above the flood.
Like
gold defy the flames; purified.
The
clouds will shine again.
There
will be joy in the market place.
And
joy in the congregation.
Don’t
let the water come
And
wash off true being
Neither
let the stream of life
Break
you.
For
the true test of diamond is the fire
And
jade unpolished does not make a gem
But
do remember and always too…
That
just as the day turns to night
There
is no water so troubled
That
does not end by becoming clear.
